Yokohama FC U-21 coach: Vietnam could reach 2030 World Cup

Yokohama FC U-21 team head coach Tomonobu Hayakawa believed Vietnam national team could reach the final round of 2030 World Cup.

Hayakawa and his side in Vietnam to participate at the International U-21 Football Tournament, which will take place in Can Tho, Vietnam from December 12-22.

When asked about the chance of Vietnam in the 2030 World Cup, the Japanese coach told Saostar reporter: “It is wrong if you don’t believe in them. Your team have 13 years to make this dream come true.”

According to Hayakawa, Vietnam have many high-quality players, even better than the 2016 class. Technically, Vietnamese players own as good technique as Japanese ones.

However, Vietnam players do not have good ability to organize and understand tactics, which could hinder their results against better teams in the region.
