Vietnam U-23 to play friendly match with Ulsan Hyundai ahead of AFC U-23 Championship

Vietnam U-23 will play against South Korea club Ulsan Hyundai on Thursday, in preparation for next year’s AFC U-23 Championship.

The match will take place at 19:00 on December 21 at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi.

According to the schedule, the Korean FA Cup winners will arrive in Vietnam on 20 December. Coach Kim Do-hoon has included several key players in the squad, including defender Kang Min Soo, who competed in 2010 World Cup with Korea national team, and 2017 U-20 World Cup player Lee Sang-heon.

Vietnam U-23 have just ended their campaign in the M-150 Cup with a third-place finish following a 2-1 victory over arch-rivals Thailand.

In 2018 U-23 Championship, coach Park Hang-seo and his side were drawn into Group D of strong contenders South Korea, Australia, and Syria.
