Carlos Eduardo will miss out Al Hilal’s AFC Champions League final second leg against Urawa Red Diamonds on Saturday due to injury.
Eduardo had to be replaced after just 19 minutes of the first leg at the King Fahd International Stadium, which ended with a 1-1 draw.
Al Hilal announced Eduardo’s condition on the club’s official Twitter: “Following medical tests carried out on Carlos Eduardo, he has been diagnosed with anterior cruciate ligament tear.
He will fly back to Riyadh tomorrow to complete the arrangements before heading to Brazil for undergoing surgery conducted by “Dr. Rene Abdalla”.”
After traveling to Tokyo with the club on Sunday, the Brazilian will reportedly return to Riyadh today before heading to Brazil, where he is scheduled to undergo surgery.
