Arsenal have turned to South Korean defender Kwon Kyung-won, who impressed the English Premier League giants during a scouting trip last week.
According to Chinese media, Arsenal sent one of their scouts to watch Kwon during the friendly between South Koreana and against Russia last Saturday.
Kwon has earned himself a reputation as one of the brightest young prospects in Asian football. He became the hero at Al Ahli by scoring the winning goal last October against Al Hilal to seal his club’s first-ever appearance in the Asian Champions League final.
The 25-year-old has performed his impressive playing in current club Tianjin Quanjian in Chinese Super League.
