Cerezo Osaka coach “not aware of Theerathon Bunmathan rumors”

Cerezo Osaka head coach Yoon Jong-hwan has not confirmed the speculation that his team were chasing Thailand captain Theerathon Bunmathan, according to report from Football Tribe Thailand.

Media in Japan and Thailand both claimed that Cerezo could make a move to bring the player in for the 2017 J.League season.

However, Yoon stated there would be no vacant for Theerathon since he was having the in-form left-back Yusuke Maruhashi, whose contract will expire by the end of 2020.

The 27-year-old rose to stardom after joining Buriram United and played the major part in the club’s success.

In 2016, after spending six years with Buriram United, he moved to rivals Muangthong United on a five-year contract. In the same year, Theerathon impressed with his performances for the national team during qualification for the 2018 World Cup.
