Thailand captain Theerathon Bunmathan has been under the radar of J League 1’s side Cerezo Osaka, according to reports in Japan.
Nikkan Sports investigated that Cezero executive admitted the club were targeting Theerathon, who is playing for Muangthong United’s outfit.
The defender could become the second Thai international to the J.League 1, following in the footsteps of Chanathip Songkrasin.
The 27-year-old rose to stardom after joining Buriram United and played the major part in the club’s success.
In 2016, after spending six years with Buriram United, he moved to rivals Muangthong United on a five-year contract.
