Reports from Thailand revealed that former Thailand head coach Kiatisuk “Zico” Senamuang was targeted by Indonesian giant club Persib Bandung.
Persib Bandung manager Umuh Muchtar has confirmed that his club is keen to sign Kiatisuk as the coach next year.
“He quit because the team [Port] did not win for seven matches. That is impossible,” said Muchtar, as quoted by Bangkok Post.
“Anything can happen and his latest result doesn’t mean that he is not good. This year we may not have him but next year we may have him with the team.
“Right now, we have to talk with the board first and wait. Next year, we might see him here.”
Kiatisak has been reportedly linked with the coaching vacancy in Vietnam national team, but the former Thailand international has refused to finish his pro license coaching course until the end of the year.
