Kiatisuk denies coaching Vietnam national team rumors

Kiatisuk “Zico” Senamuang has denied the prospect of taking the coaching position at Vietnam national team.

“I am focusing on completing the AFC Pro-license course and have not discussed anything with the Vietnam Football Federation (FA) about this job. But there have been many speculations about the salaries and bonuses that I demanded,” Kiatisuk told ThaiRath reporters.

“I haven’t discussed it with VFF officials. Those rumors may be sparked by Vietnam media.

During the trip to Bali (Indonesia) to receive the AFF Coach of the year award, Kiatisak also said: “This is the AFF event so I met and talked to officials of many regional football federations, even VFF leaders.

But I have not decided the team that I will lead. I am currently focusing on completing the AFC Pro-license course by the end of the year.”

After quitting his role at Port FC on Wednesday, the former Thailand international has been linked with the vacant position of Vietnam head coach.

He has played with V-League’s side Hoang Anh Gia Lai for four years at the end of his playing career, before having two spells as their head coach.
