Leonardo Vitorino has not expressed his enthusiasm in taking the coaching position of Vietnam national team.
“I know that Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is still looking for a new coach for the national team,” Vitorino said in an exclusive interview with Vietnamese news site The Thao & Van Hoa.
“The requirements are having a lot of experience, knowledge and being able to earn many victories in Southeast Asia. I don’t think I will apply for a job in any other country, even Vietnam,” he added.
The Brazilian has set the target of winning three points in the AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Vietnam, which will take place on 10 October in Hanoi.
“We will resume the training sessions on 1 October in preparation for the Vietnam clash. I know it will be a difficult game for us, but we will make our greatest efforts to play the game,” Vitorino said.
