JDT appoint Luciano Figueroa to replace Alistair Edwards as sport director

Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have terminated the contract with Alistair Edwards and appointed Luciano Figueroa as the club’s new sport director.

The Malaysia Super League powerhouse announced the departure of club legend Edwards on their official Facebook Fanpage.

“Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) would like to thank Alistair Edwards for his contributions during his tenure at JDT as Sports Director. We wish him all the best in his future undertakings,” the club said.

“The club would also like to share that Luciano Figueroa will be taking over as the new Sporting Director.”

Figueroa is no stranger to the local football scene as he had represented the JDT’s outfit in two seasons before hanging up the boots in October 2015.
