There have been only 7 out of the 12 teams approved to compete in next year’s Malaysia Super League, announced by FAM’s secretary general, Dato’ Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin on the governing body’s official website.

Announced by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), those clubs have met the requirements and granted the club license.

The seven clubs are Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), Pahang FA, Perak FA, PKNS FC, Penang FA, Selangor FA and T-Team FC.

Meanwhile, four out of the seven teams, namely JDT, Pahang FA, PKNS FC and Selangor FA were granted the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) club license.

They will be able to compete in the 2018 AFC Champions League or 2018 AFC Cup, should they qualify.
