A friendly football match between the Vietnam U-17 and Cambodia U-17 will take place at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh on June 21.
According to Nhan Dan Newspaper, this international friendly is a part of the sporting and cultural events to mark the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
The Young Golden Stars participating in this game will include the core players in last year’s U-16 team, who reached the quarter-final of AFC U-16 Championship.
This game is also anticipated by Cambodia football supporters. On the official Facebook page of Cam-Sport, there have been hundreds of comments about the friendly with Vietnam in Phnom Penh.
