Indonesia U15 win international tournament held in Vietnam

Vietnam lose their title after being held to a goalless draw against Myanmar in the last round match of the four-side Under-15 Football International Tournament on 18 June in Da Nang City, Vietnam.

Before this round, Vietnam were on top of the table with four points and had the clearest opportunity to win the championship. Meanwhile, Indonesia were placed second with the same points but lower goal difference.

However, things have turned upside down as Indonesia earned a big win over Chinese Taipei in the earlier match, with The Young Garuda scored a staggering 11 goals against their opponents. Therefore, Vietnam had to win against Myanmar with the same goals in order to climb on the top of the table.

In the first half, Vietnam created more chances toward Myanmar goal but none of them was on target. The second half saw hardly any progress from Vietnam as the Young Golden Stars always found it difficult to resist the counter-attack pressure from Myanmar.

According to schedule, Vietnam U-15will head back to Hanoi to prepare for the AFF U15 Championship, which takes place in Thailand this July.
