Socceroo coach Les Scheinflug fielded some youngsters for the World Cup qualifier in Jakarta and came to regrets after 90 minutes when his side was defeated 1-0.
Herry Risdianto scored the only goal of the game just two minutes before time to end Australia’s chances of qualifying for Spain. Rival New Zealand came out on top with 14 points and went to Espana ’82 instead.
Australia finished second with 10 points, while Indonesia had 6 points from 8 games.
