Sergio Ramos has entered the final six months of his Real Madrid contract and is apparently targeting a move to Manchester United after deciding against extending his Real Madrid contract. The vastly experienced Spain international is free to negotiate with any potential European suitors.
Despite having spent 16 years of his trophy-laden career at the Bernabeu, an acrimonious exit is on the cards with the legendary centerhalf having fallen out with club president Florentino Perez in recent times.
According to The Mirror, Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have allegedly made contact with Ramos but the World Cup winner instead relishes the challenge of testing himself against the best in the Premier League has turned down a move to the French capital. The 34-year-old midfield dynamo has also caught the attention of several clubs in Asia but his family are said not to be keen on relocating to the Asian continent.
Ramos is likely to command wages in excess of £200,000-a-week with Everton known to be interested still, although Man United have been designated as the defender’s dream destination.
