For the first time ever, Malaysia Super League 2020 season will be officially known as CIMB Liga Super Malaysia 2020, starting from CIMB Piala Sumbangsih 2020.
CIMB Group Holdings Berhad has agreed with MFL to sponsor the top-flight football as well as Piala Sumbangsih, until 2021.
CIMB Bank Berhad is also the official bank for Liga Super Malaysia, Liga Premier Malaysia, Piala FA, Piala Malaysia and Piala Sumbangsih.

Strategy and Design Officer, CIMB Group, Gurdip Singh Sidhu and Acting MFL CEO, Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan all present to sign the agreement in the ceremony today.
While they did not disclose the total sponsorship, it is believed that its the biggest sponsorship deal by CIMB so far in the sports industry.
It was another major milestone in terms of financial progress in Malaysian football, after securing three-year sponsorship deal with TM to broadcast live matches in 2020 season.
MFL President, Hamidin Mohd Amin has also confirmed that a new league sponsor is coming for Liga Premier, and is set to announce in few days’ time.
