[VIDEO] Watch Cristiano Ronaldo scores his first ever hat-trick in Serie A

Cristiano Ronaldo begin his 2020 season with an incredible hat-trick as Juventus beat Cagliari 4-0 on Monday night.

It was rather misleading scoreline since Cagliari held Juve goalless in the first half.

However, Ronaldo scored first goal of the game just four minutes into the second half, before scoring his second through a penalty spot in the 67th minute, before completing the hat-trick in 82 minutes.

Gonzalo Higuain scored another in 81st minute.

Ronaldo now has 56 career hat-tricks in his career, as opposed to Lionel Messi who has recorded 53 career hat-tricks till date.

“The year has started very well. The most important thing despite the hat-trick is that the team wins,” the 34-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.

“We played well and created a lot of chances. I am pleased with the hat-trick, but the most important thing was to win and put pressure on Inter.

“The team is getting better, not just in defence but in all areas. We must improve in all aspects, not just one. We are a complete squad and have to work together in every move.”

Juve is currently level on point with Inter in the league with 45 points, only goal difference separate them.
