Thai League 2020 – Matchday 4 Best XI

Check out Football Tribe’s Thai League Team of the Week for Matchday 4:

Goalkeeper

Name: Somporn Yos

Age: 26

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Muangthong United

Drafted into the team by coach Alexandre Gama because of his 'good work in training,' Muangthong's backup goalkeeper has made the most of his chance in the starting XI. Somporn followed up his clean sheet against Rayong FC with another fantastic performance, making many crucial stops to deny Chonburi and help Muangthong emerge with all three points.

Defender

Name: Narubadin Weerawatnodom

Age: 25

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Buriram United

The Thai international added another solid performance to his fine start to the Thai League campaign. Narubadin dealt with the trickery of Bodin Phala and the pace of Kevin Deeromram superbly without having to compromise his offensive duty.

Defender

Name: Manuel Bihr

Age: 26

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Bangkok United

Bill Rosimar is nightmare for many Thai League defenders but, judging on the weekend's game, we'd have to exclude Manuel Bihr from that list. The towering centreback organised the Angel's backline with authority and netted the equalized that brought Bangkok United back into the game before half-time, paving the way to a 4-1 victory.

Defender

Name: Suphan Thongsong

Age: 25

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Suphanburi FC

Another game, another clean sheet for Suphan Thongsong. The defender was on his A-game as he won a handful of vital one-on-one duels to help his side beat Rayong FC to make it two wins on the trot.

Midfielder

Name: Kevin Ingreso

Age: 27

Nationality: Philippines

Club: Buriram United

Kevin Ingreso put in a disciplined performance which earned Buriram United a draw against title-challengers Port FC. The Philippines international's passing game was simple yet effective. Ingreso hampered the opposition fullback from joining in the attack and did just as well when he was shifted into midfield towards the end of the game.

Midfielder

Name: Hajime Hosogai

Age: 33

Nationality: Japan

Club: Bangkok United

The Japanese international stepped up for Bangkok United yet again, arriving in the box in the 83rd minute to put his side ahead and completely turn the tide of the game. Add that contribution to the incredible work he does in organizing the team and providing defensive solidity, Bangkok United are reaping the rewards of this seasoned veterans' ability.

Midfielder

Name: Lossemy Karaboue

Age: 31

Nationality: Ivory Coast

Club: Ratchaburi FC

Lossemy Karaboue received the ball in tight spaces then slipped away from his opponent time after time - the Korat midfielders just can't handle the former French Ligue 1 playmaker. His influence on the game put Korat under constant pressure and the visitors finally cracked in stoppage-time - making it four straight wins for Ratchaburi FC.

Winger

Name: Steeven Langil

Age: 31

Nationality: Martinique

Club: Ratchaburi FC

Just as fantastic as his teammate, Karaboue, Steeven Langil tore the Korat fullbacks to pieces with his pace and flair. He played the first half on one side before switching to the other in the second.

Winger

Name: Vander Luiz

Age: 29

Nationality: Brazil

Club: Bangkok United

The Angels' creative force was at it again on Saturday, Vander whipped in a perfect cross from a free-kick to assist Manuel Bihr's equalizer in the first half, and dinked a delightful ball for Sanrawat Dechmitr to add a fourth in stoppage time. The Brazilian was on top form for the entire game and left the visiting champions' defense in disarray.

Striker

Name: Evandro

Age: 32

Nationality: Brazil

Club: Sukhothai FC

Evandro converted a penalty, which he won, to put Sukhothai FC ahead after just 14 minutes. The Brazilian target man then teamed up with John Baggio in a spectacular counter-attacking move, setting the Madagascan for an open goal finish, to reclaim his side the lead and paved the way to a 3-2 triumph.

Striker

Name: Heberty

Age: 31

Nationality: Brazil

Club: Port FC

Heberty has hit the ground running at Port, netting his fourth goal in as many outings to help his side collect a valuable point from Buriram's Chang Arena. His pace and awareness to dart in behind the defense kept the hosts on their toes and was on full display as he stylishly broke free and rounded the goalkeeper to score his side's only goal.
