Thai League 2020 – Matchday 3 Best XI

Check out Football Tribe’s Thai League Team of the Week for Matchday 3:

Goalkeeper

Name: Sahawit Khumpiam

Age: 25

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Suphanburi FC

Sahawit Khumpiam helped last year's relegation strugglers Suphanburi FC to their second win of the new campaign with a solid performance between the stick against PT Prachuap FC - a clean sheet is also a nice bonus for the 25 years old keeper.

Center Back

Name: Everton

Age: 30

Nationality: Brazil

Club: Bangkok United

Bangkok United picked up their second impressive away win this week, getting the better of Samut Prakan City with another impressive performance. Everton atoned for an error that threatened to jeopardize their result against Muangthong United, marshaling the defense for the entire match before popping up to score the winner in the 73rd minute.

Center Back

Name: Irfan Fandi

Age: 22

Nationality: Singapore

Club: BG Pathum United

The Singapore international netted his first goal of the season just 6 minutes into BG Pathum United's pivotal clash with Police Tero FC. Excellent in the air and reliable in one-on-one situations, Irfan Fandi showed he is more than ready for the top tier of Thai football.

Center Back

Name: Suphan Thongsong

Age: 25

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Suphanburi FC

Suphan Thongsong was dominant in the air and organized his backline well - alongside with keeper Sahawit Khumpiam, they kept a clean sheet which earned Suphanburi FC triumph over visiting PT Prachuap FC.

Right Midfielder

Name: Philip Roller

Age: 25

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Ratchaburi FC

Ratchaburi showed incredible fighting spirit to come back from two goals down to win 4-3 against Buriram United, and captain Philip Roller played a huge role in that. Helping to galvanize the team for an excellent second-half showing, he also showed the composure of a seasoned goalscorer to net his side's third, evading challenges from two Buriram defenders before slamming the ball home with his weaker foot to give his side the lead.

Central Midfielder

Name: Sanukran Thinjom

Age: 26

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Chiangrai United

Sanukran Thinjom left SCG Stadium for more game time and early signs are positive for the midfielder who looked busy and was influential in Chiangrai United's win over Trat FC, earning them their first 3 points of the season.

Central Midfielder

Name: Sumanya Purisai

Age: 33

Nationality: Thailand

Club: BG Pathum United

You won't find a better assist in the Thai League than Sumanya's outside-of-the-foot through ball for Toti's goal. The former-Bangkok United and Port FC playmaker linked the whole team together, was also involved with the set-piece for the opening goal and should've scored one for himself in extra-time too.

Left Midfielder

Name: Steeven Langil

Age: 31

Nationality: Martinique

Club: Ratchaburi FC

Langil was a threat all game for the home side, causing havoc down the flanks when Buriram's full-backs left space in behind. The Martinique international set up two of Ratchaburi's goals with delightful crosses into the area, including an inch-perfect ball for Javier Patino's 90th-minute winner.

Attacking Midfielder

Name: Sanrawat Dechmitr

Age: 30

Nationality: Thailand

Club: Bangkok United

After playing the first game of the season with the B-team, Sanrawat's performance shows how much Bangkok United have improved upon their squad depth this season. The eccentric attacking midfielder assisted his side's winning goal

Striker

Name: Bill Rosimar

Age: 35

Nationality: Brazil

Club: Chiangrai United

Chiangrai United have had a gruelling start to the season with both Thai League and AFC Champions League commitments, stretching the squad to its limit. However, 35-year-old striker Bill has been an ever-present in the side, showing not only his goalscoring instinct but his underrated work ethic to greatly help his side this season. He was on the scoresheet again this week with the opening goal against Trat.

Striker

Name: Caion

Age: 29

Nationality: Brazil

Club: Chonburi

Chonburi FC were trailing 0-1 by half-time but regrouped and produced a 3 goal comeback to win 3-1. Caion worked tirelessly upfront, making runs and creating chances for teammates, then finished the game with 2 goals - and to be honest, should've converted another clear-cut opportunity for his hattrick.
