Harry Redknapp praises Australia international and Huddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy an excellent player and could play for “Barcelona tomorrow”.
Mooy enjoyed a superb season with Huddersfield Town in the Premier League, creating 49 chances for his side as the club avoided relegation.
“I’m not trying to be funny but he’s a player who could go to Barcelona tomorrow and not look out of place. I think he’s that good,” Redknapp told The World Game.
“He’s an excellent player … he’s one of those who never gives the ball away. And that’s a rare thing. He’s calm on the ball, always seems to have options and he sees everything.”
Redknapp added: “He started the season really well, he was dominating things but then maybe lost his way a little bit but finished strong.
“He is never rushed in what he does and that’s because he’s aware of everything around him, and knows which is the best option to take.
“It was good business for City because they got him for very little. But I think he could easily play in that midfield for Pep Guardiola and do a good job.”
