Philippines Football League outfit has signed Luke Woodland on a free transfer, official sources confirmed.
The English-born footballer joined English side York City in November 2016 but left the club by mutual consent last week. As he was a free agent, Ceres–Negros was able to sign him without paying transfer fee.
Luke Woodland was born Abu Dhabi but joined Bolton Wanderers in their youth system when he was eight. Upon leaving the club in 2015, he had short stints with various English clubs, including Chester, Bradford Park Avenue, and Oldham Athletic. He also played for England at youth levels.
However, the 21-year-old midfielder decided to represent the Philippines at senior level. He is eligible to play for the Philippines through his mother and has made his debut in 2015.
