BG Pathum United have already made headlines in recent weeks for their notable transfer activity, bringing in Muangthong United captain Sarach Yooyen and former Buriram star Andres Tunez. Now, the side is looking to allow some departures in order to balance their squad.
With the arrival of Tunez, who joins Brazilians Victor Cardozo and Barros Tardeli on the foreign roster, there is now no place for Spanish midfielder ‘Toti,’ or Daniel Garcia Rodriguez. It seems that the club is ready to part ways with the 32-year-old after his five years at the LEO Stadium, a very impressive spell for a foreign player in the Thai League.
In addition to Toti, the club is also looking to offload their current AFC quota player Yuki Bamba, who signed for BG from Trat FC along with coach Dusit Chalermsan. It appears as though the versatile midfielder is no longer needed due to the squad depth the Rabbits have built this season.
It seems that the pair will likely join BG’s feeder club in T2, Chiangmai FC, according to this report from SiamSport. They will play alongside many former teammates there, including rising stars Korraphat Nareechan, Chalermsak Aukee, and Apisit Sorada, who are on loan at the club.
These moves have also sparked speculation as to who is going to be the club’s new AFC quota player, with some suggesting Cerezo Osaka captain Hiroshi Kiyotake or former Dortmund youngster Mitsuru Maruoka.
