Chiangrai United owner Miti Tiyapairat has confirmed that the side is willing to sell star talent Ekanit Pamya to foreign clubs should they receive any offers, but will not let him leave to other Thai clubs.
According to this report by SiamSport, the 2019 Thai League champions will be willing to let go of Ekanit for a fee in the range of 20 to 30 million Baht, or $64 thousand to $96 thousand USD.
This comes shortly after the side reportedly rejected a 55 million Baht bid for him from Muangthong United, where the club restated that they were only interested in selling to foreign buyers.
The club’s owner specifically noted that he is willing to let his players go abroad because he values their personal development and by extension the development of the Thai National Team, which will benefit from more players getting experience overseas.
Ekanit had an impressive breakout campaign in 2019, which began on loan with newly promoted side Chiangmai FC in T1. The forward was then recalled by his parent club for the second leg of the season, where he played a pivotal role
The 20-year-old also got his first minutes for the senior team last year, making five appearances and scoring his first goal.
