Bayern Munich made a major stride towards wrapping up the Bundesliga title race on Tuesday night, with their 1-0 away win over Borussia Dortmund.
The result leaves the side seven points ahead of their closest title rivals, with just six games left to play.
The game’s only goal was scored by Joshua Kimmich in the 43rd minute, as his excellent long-range lobbed effort was mishandled by Dortmund’s Roman Bürki and found its way into the back of the net.
Elsewhere, Bayer Leverkusen were handed a major blow with their 4-1 defeat against Wolfsburg, which saw them drop back out of the top four, allowing Monchengladbach back after their 0-0 draw with Werder Bremen.
Lastly, Leipzig missed their chance to climb into second place, as a late equalizer by Krzysztof Piatek saw them record a 2-2 draw against Hertha Berlin.
