Bayer Leverkusen is hoping to break into the Bundesliga’s top 4 this weekend, in the growing fight for Champions League places, as they take on third-placed Borussia Monchengladbach.
After their impressive 4-1 away win over Werder Bremen last weekend, Leverkusen look back on form and will be hoping to push their way back into the top 4.
Meanwhile, Macro Rose’s men also picked up all three points this weekend and will be hoping to make best use of their home advantage to retain their place in the standings.
The battle lines for the Champions League places seem to have been drawn, with sixth-place Wolfsburg a whole 11 points behind Leverkusen, meaning virtually five teams still have a realistic chance of qualifying for the major continental competition barring a miracle.
Elsewhere, after their comfortable 4-0 win last weekend, Dortmund travel to Wolfsburg hoping to keep pace with league leaders Bayern Munich.
Bayern themselves will play in the late game on Saturday, hosting 13th-placed Eintracht Frankfurt at their first game back at the Allianz Arena since the restart.
