Ricardo Lopes and Jeonbuk Gearing Up For Champions League Charge

Three-time Korean league champion Ricardo Lopes is looking ahead to another year with Jeonbuk Hyundai in 2020 and is set to focus on improving the club’s performance in the AFC Champions League.

The 29-year-old striker has been with the club since 2016 and was the club’s leading goalscorer in three out of his four campaigns in the K-League. The Brazilian expressed his satisfaction with both the club’s and his own individual performance in recent seasons, as Jeonbuk once again lifted the league title last season.

“I am very happy with everything that has been happening to me since coming to Korean football. I have been working hard to make my story in the country and in Jeonbuk. I will dedicate a lot in 2020 to make it an even better year for me and the club. There will be no lack of commitment on my part,” he said.

According to Lopes, the club will begin preparing for the Asian Champions League match next year and are set to make that the center of their attention for the upcoming campaign.

“We will prepare for a great year by 2020. We will have the Asian Champions League ahead and our goal is to win its title. We will fight hard so that the team can have a great competition by 2020.”
