On the same day with the final match of the Indonesian U-16 national team in the AFC U-16 Asian Cup 2020 Qualifying against China, the 2019 Liga 1 opened its Week 20 with the only game held in Bekasi between Bhayangkara FC against Borneo FC that ended in a draw.

Both clubs are in good performance, last match The Guardian earned a big away win against Barito Putera, 1-4 while Pesut Etam got a dramatic and controversial win 2-1 against Madura United in Segiri Stadium. The highlight is on the away team as they had hit a green patch in their form book, being unbeaten in the last four games including this one that was held in the Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium.

The hosts play in 4-3-3 with a false nine tactic as Bruno Matos standing in between Adam Alis and Dendi Sulistyawan backed up by two dynamic foreign midfielders, Lee Yoo-Joon, and Hedipo Gustavo. While Mario Gomez took Borneo in 4-4-1-1 formation, as Renan Silva standing behind the lone striker Matias Conti with support from two young lads in both wings, Terens Puhiri, and Sihran Amrullah.

The game ended goalless until half-time, but then Pesut Etam opened the scoreline from Renan Silva’s long shot from outside of the box in 60th minute which quickly replied by the hosts as Adam Alis scored an equalizer four minutes later. In the next game, Borneo will face Persija Jakarta in Samarinda while Bhayangkara will fly away to Lamongan meet Persela, both in Friday afternoon.
