After Round 21 of the V.League, Hanoi continued their fine form with 3 wins in a row after they beat Da Nang 2-1. That win helps Hanoi keep their five-point gap over Ho Chi Minh City.

The Southern Vietnamese title-chasers beat Than Quang Ninh 3-1 to remain in the conversation, but with only four rounds remaining, it seems like the defending champions are clear favorites to win a second consecutive crown.

At the bottom of the table, Khanh Hoa and Hoang Anh Gia Lai fall behind in the relegation zone with their away defeats. Khanh Hoa lost 1-4 to Song Lam Nghe An while HAGL lost 0-3 against Binh Duong. These defeats keep Khanh Hoa and Hoang Anh Gia Lai in the red with 20 and 23 points respectively.

Khanh Hoa now in five points adrift of safety, and are running out of time to pull off a great escape to remain in the division.
