Ho Chi Minh City remain on top of the V.League, maintaining their 2 points above Hanoi after a 2-1 win over Than Quang Ninh.

With their title rivals picking up points in the weekend’s early match, Hanoi FC had to pick up all three points to keep the deficit down to two. The capital club got back to winning ways after a hard-fought win over SHB Danang.

Striker Ganuyu Oseni hit the double while Do Hung Dung also got on the scoresheet for the defending champions, but Thanh Hai and Dominik ensured that the visitors remained in the contest until the dying minutes.

Elsewhere, Viettel continued their slump with a 0-3 loss away against Sai Gon FC. Meanwhile, Quang Nam drop points again when they conceded a late goal against Nam Dinh.
