Buriram United have moved to replace Brazilian star Diogo Luis Santo, who recently sealed a move to Malaysian Champions Johor Darul Ta’zim. The Thunder Castle have turned to Mali international Modibo Maïga, who joins from Ajman Club in the United Arab Emirates.
Elsewhere, Muangthong United have announced their capture of Vietnamese goalkeeper Dang Van Lam. The Russian born Hai Phong FC player impressed during the recent AFF Cup, and may finally be the Kirin’s long-term replacement to Thailand Number 1 Kawin Thamsatchanan. They have also offered a return to right-back Suphanan Bureerat from Samut Prakan City FC, who returns to the club where he first broke through as a top-flight player.
Samut Prakan themselves have also been busy strengthening their squad ahead of their debut season in the Thai League. Brazilian winger Ibson Melo joins the club from Maritimo, while Jakkit Wachpirom has arrived on loan from Bangkok United.
Newly-promoted PTT Rayong continue their transfer splurge, adding former Ipswich and QPR attacker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas to their ranks. They have also secured a loan deal for promising Buriram United starlet Sarayut Sompim, who captained Air Force last season.
Lastly, Chainat Hornbill have sealed a deal for Laos star Soukaphone Vongchiengkham, who joins the club from second division outfit Sisaket.
