Buriram Sign Hosogai, Mathues Alves Joins Prachuap

Buriram United have announced their capture of former Japan international Hajime Hosogai. The ex-Stuttgart midfielder joins the club for the 2019 season from Kashiwa Reysol, who were recently relegated from the Japanese top flight.

Elsewhere, PT Prachuap have acquired the services of Brazilian striker Matheus Alves, who joins the club from Korean second-division side Suwon FC. The forward spent the second half of the 2018 campaign on loan at Chonburi FC, where he scored four goals from 11 league appearances, and struck a memorable hat-trick against Muangthong United in the League Cup.

Another player on Chonburi’s foreign player roster last season, Kim Gyeong-Min, is reportedly on his way to join newly promoted Trat FC, after being released by the Sharks at the end of the last campaign.

Third-placed side Port FC are also in the hunt to strengthen their squad. Having already added Sansern Limwattana from Bangkok United to their ranks, the Klongtoei side are reportedly set to approach their local rivals for yet more signings. Thai international Sumanya Purisai is supposedly on top of their wish-list, as is half-Spanish left-back Ernesto Amantegui.
