Paulinho could make suprise return to Chinese Super League – Reports

Former Guangzhou Evergrande midfielder Paulinho could be set for a quick return to China, according to reports from Spain.

Spanish paper AS claim that the Brazilian, who made a surprise move to the Camp Nou last season, has received a £44million offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League club.

It is reported that Paulinho has not considered the move as he wants to concentrate on the World Cup. Meanwhile, AS also say that Barca coach Ernesto Valverde is keen to keep the 29-year-old.

Paulinho joined La Liga giants from Guangzhou Evergrande on a £36.4m deal in August of last year.

During his first stint at Camp Nou, the 29-year-old made 21 starts and coming off the bench 13 times, scoring nine goals.

In this year’s World Cup campaign, Paulinho has been a key part of Brazil’s squad.
