HAGL forward Nguyen Cong Phuong will be ruled out of the V-League 1 game against defending champions Quang Nam on Sunday.
Phuong received his third yellow in the win over Quang Ninh in the last round and will miss HAGL’s next game.
The absence of Phuong would halt the attacking strength of HAGL since the 23-year-old is in his peak performance. In the last four matches, he has scored three goals.
HAGL thrashed Quảng Ninh Coal 4-0 in the 16th round of the V-League, where Phuong added the third goal for his side on 44th minute.
With this victory, HAGL moved up to the sixth position of V-League standing, while Quang Ninh dropped to the fourth, with 16 points behind table-toppers Hanoi FC.
