Host Ben Maxwell returned for another engaging episode of the J-Talk Podcast this week, joined by The Asian Game co-host Scott McIntyre, Football Tribe’s own Dan Orlowitz, and Machida Zelvia supporter Dave Brooks.
The first part of the podcast features a rousing debate over the Japan Football Association’s decision to fire former head coach Vahid Halilhodzic, with Scott and Dan taking contrasting sides before they and Ben discuss the fortunes of FC Tokyo and their better-than-expected start to the season.
In the second part, Scott takes a look at Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo’s impressive performances before passing judgement on relegation-threatened Nagoya Grampus, Yokohama F. Marinos, and Gamba Osaka. Dave then joins to discuss Machida Zelvia’s success early in the J2 campaign.
As always, don’t forget to subscribe to the J-Talk Podcast for more great Japanese football content every week.
