Qatar enter AFC U-23 Championship semi-finals following the thrilling 3-2 victory over Palestine in the last eight on Friday.
Almoez Ali took the lead for Qatar on 32 minutes and shortly doubled his side’s lead just three minutes later.
Hisham Ali’s strike eight minutes into the second half to extend Qatar’s advantage.
However, Palestine kept their confidence growing and earned their glimpse of hope in the 60th minute with a goal from Oday Dabbagh.
Despite having Mohammed Rashid dismissed for a second bookable offence, Palestine gave Qatar a nervy last few minutes after Mohamed Darwish added a second in the 87th minute.
However, neither of both sides was able to score in the remaining time and Qatar preserved their victory at the end.
Qatar are now scheduled to meet either Iraq or Vietnam in the last four on Tuesday.
