Thailand U-23 coach Zoran Jankovic apologized to Thai fans following his side’s disastrous performance at AFC U23 Championship.
The team ended their campaign without a single point, having lost in all three group stage matches to North Korea, Japan and Palestine.
“I am disappointed by the scoreline,” Jankovic said on Tuesday, as quoted by the Bangkok Post.
“I’d like to apologise to everybody for the team’s failure.”
“I tried to give my best for this team. This team has good players and we need to look after them in the future.”
On Monday, Football Association of Thailand (FAT) technical chief Witthaya Laohakul revealed that Jankovic may be dismissed from his charge.
