Nicolas Velez leaves Suphanburi to join Negeri Sembilan

Nicolas Velez left Suphanburi to join newly-promoted Malaysian Super League’s side Negeri Sembilan, according to reports from Thailand.

Velez started his career with Argentinian giants River Plate youth academy but left for rivals CA Huracán. However, he did not make the cut and had to leave for Spain to play for Atlético Sanluqueño CF in 2013 at the lower league.

However, it was not until 2014 when the 27-year-old made his real breakthrough in S-League side Warriors FC.

After a successful campaign in Indian club North East United, Velez had departed to Croatia playing for a short spell in Hajduk Split but did not play too much, so he returned to his former club in India.

Since joining Suphanburi in 2017, Vélez scored 13 goals from 28 games in top-flight Thai League 1 past season.
