Former Malaysia head coach Allan Harris has died at the age of 74.
Harris was in charge of Malaysia national team from 2001 to 2004 and guided the team to the fourth place in the 2002 AFF Cup, besides winning silver and bronze in two successive SEA Games.
The Englishman also guided the Harimau in qualifying campaigns for the 2002 World Cup and 2004 Asian Cup.
Football Association of Malaysia issued a statement today, extending their condolences to former Chelsea defender Harris’ family.
“The Football Association of Malaysia extends its condolences and appreciation to Allan Harris, 74, who passed away on Thursday for his services and contribution during his tenure as national head coach from 2000 to 2004,” said FAM general secretary Datuk Hamidin Amin.
