Chhreng Polroth and Tith Dina withdrawn from Cambodia squad

Midfielder duo Chhreng Polroth and Tith Dina have been withdrawn from the Cambodia squad for the 2019 Asian Cup qualifier against Jordan due to injury.

As reported by TheMorning, Cambodia caretaker Prak Sovannara said that two players would be dropped from the squad if they weren’t fit on time, following the 2-1 defeat to Myanmar on Friday friendly.

“We dropped Dina and Polroth, [for] they still face injury [not fit on time], [while] Rous Samoeun is fit for a match against Jordan,” Sovannara told TheMorning.

Cambodia are standing third in Group C, with three points from the surprising victory over Afghanistan in June.

Sovannara and his players have to win their tough opponents to keep their qualification chance alive.
