Shenzhen FC Sven Goran-Eriksson “would love to manage Liverpool

Sven Goran-Eriksson admitted he would love the chance to manage Liverpool, Liverpool Echo reports.

The Swedish, who also managed England national team, has been without a job after being axed by Shenzhen FC, his third club in the Chinese Super League.

“I would love to manage Liverpool,” Eriksson said. “I’m an old, old Liverpool fan.

“I always have been, as has my father.”

Eriksson replaced former AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf as Shenzhen coach in December.

However, the 69-year-old has been dismissed after failing to inspire The Guangdong-based a promotion charge and mustering a run of only five wins from 13 games in the league.
