Scolari handed three-game touch line ban in Chinese Super League

Luis Felipe Scolari has been handed a three-match ban for questioning refereeing decisions during his side’s 4-3 win over Yanbian Funde in the Chinese Super League last week.

This ban means it could be the final time Scolari sat on the Guangzhou Evergrande bench. The Brazilian tactician will leave the Chinese Super League defending champions after almost three years in charge, according to his announcement on Thursday.

Evergrande is one game away from winning the league for the third time after the victory over Yanbian Funde. ]

The big-spending club extend their lead at the top of the Chinese Super League standings with six points ahead Shanghai SIPG and three games remaining.

Scolari has won two Chinese leagues, one Chinese Cup, two super cups and an Asian Champions League title since joining the club in 2015.
