Vietnam to miss two key players for Cambodia clash

Vietnam have suffered another blow ahead of next Tuesday’s 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Cambodia after marquee players Doan Van Hau and Ha Duc Chinh were ruled out due to injury and illness.

Caretaker Mai Duc Chung confirmed the absence of Doan Van Hau, who has been awarded AFF Young player of the year, due to flu after the training session on 6 October. Hau was featured in the starting line-up in the away-legged against Cambodia last month.

On the other hand, Vietnam also have to face Cambodia without striker Ha Duc Chinh. He suffered an injury during the Vietnam National Cup semi-final between his side Da Nang and Binh Duong on Friday.

The Golden Stars have seen the growing injured list, including Trong Hoang, Van Toan and Ngoc Thinh, with the latter two can be totally fit for the Cambodia game.
