According to an announcement from Song Lam Nghe An, midfielder Tran Phi Son has attracted interest from two Japanese teams.
Phi Son, who has spent his career in boyhood club Song Lam Nghe An, has been offered trial by two undisclosed Japanese clubs at the end of this season.
After receiving the invitation, Phi Son stated that he would go to Japan to earn his opportunity. Depend on the outcome of the trip, the Vietnamese will consider his future with his current club when his contract expires later this year.
Phi Son has been playing a vital part in Song Lam Nghe An at V-League and National Cup. His impressive performances help the club secure a relatively safe position at the top-flight table.
Before Phi Son, there have been three Vietnamese players to play at Japanese clubs, namely Le Cong Vinh, Nguyen Cong Phuong and Nguyen Tuan Anh.
