Vietnam climb four spots to go above Thailand in FIFA rankings

Vietnam national football team went four places up in the FIFA men’s world rankings released on 14 September, thus remained the second in the Asean zone.

Vietnam made their way up to 130th in the world according to the FIFA rankings.

Between August 10 and September 14, Vietnam played only one match, in which the Golden Stars earned a 2-1 win over cambodia in 2019 Asian Cup qualification on 5 Septermber, that was considered in the ranking calculation.

With a rise of four positions, Philippines was also in the top spot. Followed by the Philippines and Vietnam are Thailand (137), Myanmar (152) and Singapore (162).

Germany occupy the first rank, with only 16 points leading second-placed Brazil.

In the Asian zone, Iran is still the best with 25th place, followed by Japan (40), Australia (50) and South Korea (51).
