Leeds United have targeted Gamba Osaka starlet Yosuke Ideguchi, according to reports in Tokyo.
According to Yahoo Japan, the former English football powerhouse are claiming that they have prepared to pay £700,000 to trigger the midfielder’s release clause.
Some reports also claimed the 21-year-old had already signed a pre-contract agreement with the English Championship club.
That would see him arrive at Elland Road once the January transfer window opens.
Ideguchi has made headlines when he scored a superb goal to help Japan beat Australia 2-0 at home.
