JDT extend unbeaten home record to 40 matches

Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have proven to be invincible at home after beating Selangor 3-1 in their Malaysia Cup Group D match at the Larkin Stadium.

This win has extended JDT’s unbeaten home record to 40 matches, a record built in 2015.

The hosts took only 16 minutes to take the lead by Mohamad Ghaddar after Spanish forward Rufino Segovia levelled off for Selengor in the 28th minutes

However, the Southern Tigers quickly overpowered with the goal from Gary Steven Robbat, who was making a rare appearance, on the 29th minute.

Lebanese striker Ghaddar completed his brace in the 74th minute to secure the victory for JDT.

In the quarter-finals, JDT will square off Group C runners-up Melaka, while Selangor face defending champions and Group C leaders Kedah.
