Davies, who last year became the youngest captain in Pahang FC’s history at 21, played a key role in Malaysia’s silver medal finish at the SEA Games. His one-on-one defending allowed the hosts to finish with a perfect record in the group stage before a 1-0 win against regional rivals Indonesia secured a berth in the final against Thailand.
