Former V-League striker Ivan Firer has signed a two-year contract with Ligue 2’s side AJ Auxerre.
The signing of Firer was finalized on Thursday evening, as announced by the French club on their official statement.
Born in Slovenia, the 32-year-old striker had spent most of his career in the homeland.
In 2016 season, Firer joined V-League side FLC Thanh Hoa and was regarded as one of the more promising newcomers of the club. However, the Slovenian had to leave after the first stage since he found it hard to adapt to weather condition and football environment in Vietnam.
In the second stage of 2016 season, Firer was captured by ambitious side Becamex Binh Duong but failed to meet the expectation of the team once again. Leaving Vietnam at the end of the season, he decided to return home and found his chances at NK Domžale.
