After being suspended from the Cambodia U-22 team due to “disciplinary reason”, Samoeun Pidor announced on his Facebook that he would reveal what had happened to him in Malaysia.
On his Facebook, Samoeun Pidor wrote: “I am Samoeun Pidor, and I wish to clarify that I have never revealed my case [suspended by the head coach] to any media, so please all the supporters do not make assumption.
I will reveal what that has happened to me on my official Facebook account. I will also accept all coach Leonardo Vitorino’s decisions, and I still regard him as my second father even though his decision to suspend me is right or wrong.”
On Wednesday, reports from Cambodia said that Cambodia U-22 head coach Leonardo Vitorino announced to dismiss two key players including Samoeun Pidor and Chreng Polroth due to disciplinary reason.
The Brazilian coach did not make any further comments about his players’ suspension.
Cambodian ended their SEA Games campaign with a 2-0 reverse to Indonesia, which is their fifth straight defeat at the Games.
