Pairoj Piempongsant, the owner of Carabao Group Public Co. Ltd, has expressed interest in Malaysia Super League club, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT).
The Carabao Group are known as one of the main sponsors of defending Premier League champions, Chelsea FC.
On JDT’s official website, HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor revealed that Carabao Group have noticed the potential in JDT and have expressed their desire to sponsor the club.
“I’m delighted that this small club creates history every day and gets more well-known,” the Crown Prince, said.
“He (Pairoj Piempongsant) will come to Johor this August to look at the new JDT stadium’s plan and JDT FC’s plans.”
“I’m delighted that this small club that we have been building all this while creates history every day and gets more well-known, and there’s a top global brand that wants to sponsor us.”
At the end of the announcement, Crown Prince of Johor, who is also the president of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), expressed his gratitude to Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck for inviting him to the Bayern Munich-Chelsea clash in Singapore on Tuesday.
